Simple Woman's Daybook

For November 10, 2008...

Outside my Window... the only thing still growing in our little patio garden is the rosemary, and I can smell it today when the door is open. It smells absolutely wonderful.

I am thinking...about how much fun I had scrapbooking this weekend.

From the learning rooms... I'm embarrassed to say that I haven't even looked at what we'll be doing this week. Thank God for the people at My Father's World...they have it set up so that I can just pick it up and get started if I need to. (And sometimes we all need to!) We have just this week and next until we go to a "lite" school schedule in December.

I am thankful for...
happy memories.

From the kitchen...spaghetti and meatballs, probably. I may have Will & Katie help me make some French bread to dress it up a bit. I don't even remember what we have on hand for dinners, so I'm glad I wrote it down...somewhere. It's going to take me a day or two to get back from my mini-vacation mentally!

I am wearing...pajamas, unapologetically, at 11:00 am.

I am reading...emails. Over a hundred of 'em. Not checking in for a couple of days caused quite a backlog, especially with all the mail order/internet companies in the universe reminding me that I can do all my Christmas shopping with them.

I am hoping...a burst of energy will miraculously strike me.

I am creating... a very special, intentional Christmas season for my family.

I am hearing...William explaining to me how he can attach yarn to Katie's (heavy) booster seat and, through a complicated system of levels and pulleys, cause the living room curtains to open and close. (Please note that at this moment on November 10, 2008, Katie is not currently talking to herself.)

Around the house...I don't even want to think about all that needs attention here today. We're going to pick up the family room together and then I'm going to do one--ONE--load of laundry and spend 15 minutes putting my craft room back in order. That is all I'm doing today. I'll do a little more tomorrow.

One of my favorite things....is conversations with Will and Katie.

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week...I'm planning to spend the week getting back in the swing of things.

Here is a picture thought I am sharing with you...

This is one side of the fall garland we made. I got the idea from the wonderful blog of maya*made and the tutorial is here.
