A little retail therapy

Scott left yesterday morning, and it was very, very sad. May I not be struck by lightening for saying this, but it was a bit of a relief, too. This phase has officially started, and I can move from "figuring out how to handle it" to actually handling it.

A little over 24 hours into this adventure, it seems I'm going to be coping by shopping. Scott would be so pleased. First Angie's Pampered Chef party (turned out to be exactly what I needed!) then a bit of online shopping. Among other things, this is winging its way to me:

Don't you LOVE it? I got a Scrapstrong bracelet when I took Stacy Julian's Library of Memories class this summer, so when I saw the shirt, I just jumped on it. All our t-shirts from our newly married days in New Mexico and Hawaii are quite literally threadbare and falling apart, so I *neeeeeed* some new ones. I'm looking at some homeschool ones from cafepress.com (don't worry, they're edgy ones, not cutesy ones) but I think I'll wait until next pay period to get them, just to prove to myself that all self-control didn't disappear when Scott did.

I can't tell you how many times I have seen the Fussy t-shirt (writing well is the best revenge) and thought about buying it for you.

Very cute. There are so many awesome choices for t-shirts these days, so you can really express yourself. I just usually by in bulk from Old Navy online. Solid t-shirts are getting a little boring for me. I've been wanting to get some "birth" type ones to wear when I go doula-ing.

PS: I don't mean to harp on the fact that you handle your self so well when Scott is gone, but it really does amaze me. I could hardly handle Mike being gone a week (the longest we had been separated). Not for the companionships, per se, but for the help with the kids.
