Okay, so, funny story...

I was in Home Depot with my children. That's funny on its own, if you know me. I'm not a "go to Home Depot with my children" kind of girl, but we had so many burned-out light bulbs that it really couldn't wait until the weekend for Scott to go. Fortunately, he has taken them so many times that they already knew where the light bulb section was.

On our way to the light bulb section, aka Aisle One, Will noticed that there was a bird in the building. Expecting to see a little wren, I looked up just in time to see a much bigger bird dive bomb down toward the big bags of potting soil just a couple of feet in front of us. I'm a little embarrassed to tell you that all three of us clutched each other and squealed like little girls. Will recovered his dignity first, and snuck around the pile of soil to get a better look at the bird.

The second the bird saw Will, it flapped its enormous wings and soared back up to the rafters of Home Depot. Will ran back to us, his eyes as big as plates. "Did you see how big that bird was?!" he demanded. "Was that an eagle or a hawk?"

I'll admit it. I wanted to lie to him. But I just couldn't.

"Honey, that was a pigeon."
