We had a babysitter come tonight and Katie spent the day in quite a state of anticipation. She wanted everything to be just right, even her hair. She wanted to put the cow stuff on her hair to make it pretty. I was completely mystified. I thought of a cute dress she has that has a cute purple cow print on it, but that didn't fit with the context of having pretty hair. I just could not imagine what "cow stuff" she could be speaking of. Finally after several minutes of my trying to get clarification from her, Will spoke up and asked her, "Do you mean mousse?"

"Yes. Mousse." she said immediately. "Can I put the mousse stuff on my hair to make it pretty?"

Ah, of course. Mousse. It seems so obvious now.
